Root Christmas Party!

We had a terrific time with the whole Root gang this last weekend. We went sledding, watched a Christmas movie, ate good food, got a visit from Santa and put on fun skits. We all had a great time!
Zach coming down the hill at the St. Anthony sand dunes.

Haley at the bottom of the hill.
Kacie just looking cute with her sled.
All the girls (minus mom and Kacie) pause for a photo at teh top of the hill.
My kid with Santa. Nate was so cute and gave Santa a present he made for him and also his long list of wants.
The whole group! It was so fun to have everyone together and enjoy each other company and also for the cousins to spend some time together playing. Thanks everyone for making it a great day!!

Frosty the Snowman!

Nate got a snowman kit at a gift exchange and was so excited to get out and build a snowman. The very next day it snowed the perfect "snowman" snow and he and Brett got busy. this was the result! I'm glad I got a photo because after a bad wind storm that night there was almost nothing left of old Frosty.

Tree Trimming

We always have a great time setting up the Christmas tree every year. The kids love to help hang ornaments, especially the ones they've made themselves.
Who is this little Santa Claus?
Kacie has her ornaments ready for the tree.
I think this year we have the tallest tree we've ever had. We had to break out the ladder to get the top ornaments hung.
Putting the angel on top was a little tricky, but Brett and Zach were able to get the job done. Good job boys!

Its so nice to have the tree up in the house and to feel the special spirit it brings this time of year.

Go Haley!

Haley has been playing basketball on Saturdays with her city team. She's doing great and improves every week.
We keep telling her to just grab the ball from the other girls hands--so here she is trying.
Why does it look like all the girls are just standing around? oh, cause they are.
Just wait for the other girl go come back down and then shoot!
Yes, dear, it helps if your eyes are open when a pass is coming to you.

We're so proud of her and how hard she works at the game. Keep it up Haley!

Zeitgeist Half Marathon

Laura and I ran the Zeitgeist half marathon in Boise this weekend. This is our 3rd half marathon we finished together this year. Its nice to have someone to run with especially up the long, tiring hills. You're a great running buddy!

Halloween 2010

The kids had a super fun Halloween this year thanks to Grandma Robinson's Halloween party! They always have so much fun! Zach and Brayden opted out of trick-or-treating this year but the others loved going to each door to see what yummy treat they would get next.

Haley before school on Friday. She ended up going as a football player Halloween night.

Kacie is a black cat. She looked so cute with the little tail sticking out the back.
Nate couldn't wait to put on his football uniform just like the big boys.
Bobbing for apples at grandma's party.

Loved Dan's woopie cushion costume!
Haley wrapped dad up as a mummy with toilet paper.
The best fishing pond ever! The kids loved all the great prizes they "caught"!

Zombie Chase

I had a fun time dressing up as a zombie for a 5k fun run this last weekend. I was really excited when Dan and Brigit and my neighbors, Matt and Jane Smith, decided to sign up and run as well. It was fun to see the different costumes and "chase" after the survivors!
Me Brigit and Dan. They ran as survivors but this zombie never did catch them. They did awesome and Dan won first place in his age group!

Jane, me, Dallas and Matt. I ran with Jane and it was nice to have someone to chat with on the run. We eventually caught up to Matt and had fun teasing him that he was zombie lunch! Both Jane and Matt medalled in their age groups as well--super cool!

This was a great event and one I'm sure I'll do again!

Lagoon

We decided to head down to Lagoon for Frightmares last weekend with the Webers. It was a quick trip but so fun!

Zach and Chase getting ready to "Blast Off" This is one of my favorites. I just wish it would take you up more than once!

Kacie, Brett and Nate riding the Sky Ride. Those two had a blast at Kiddie Land!
Nate and Kacie in the helicopters.

We had such a fun time. We ate at the Mayan on Friday night and then Zach Chase and I went through their haunted house. I laughed my head off at how scared they were getting. After Lagoon we stopped at Red Robin on the way home. It was a great ending to a great day!

Vegas

Had a great time in Las Vegas with my mom and laura last month. We saw Lion King and it was fabulous. We also saw Rita Rudner's show and walked thought the exhibit Bodies--that was really cool and interesting.

Here is Laura in front of the Bellagio fountain show. That was awesome!

Me and Laura in front of the Bellagio
Me and mom walking from Excalibur to New York New York. So many fun and neat things to see in Vegas but this post is short because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!! :) (right ladies!)

Brayden's Football

Here are some pictures of Brayden's game against Teton. They won the game and Brayden did a great job.

Pass incomplete thanks to great defense!
Brett and Brayden watching the action. Brett help coach the team this year.
Oh, sweet catch! (this one actually went through his hands but you'd never know by the picture)

Zach's Football

A few photos of Zach's last game. He is #89, just like his dad was. His team is having a good season and are 4-1 right now.

Can you believe how much bigger this guy is than Zach? He did great against him though--the bigger they are the harder they fall, right?

This is Zach about to make a tackle.
And here he is making the tackle. Timber!
Another shot of him getting in on a tackle.

We love to go watch our boys play. They're doing so great! Next will be some pics of Brayden.

Flag Football

Football season is in full swing at our house. This was Nate's first year in flag football. He was so excited to play like his older brothers and even more excited to learn that his team was the Denver Broncos! He had a blast playing!
Nate with his hands up--I'm ready coach throw me the ball!

Taking a break with his friend Gunner.
Running the ball like a pro!
Right after a great catch!
Nate reaches in for the flag of his opponent
Listening to his coach reading to make a play!
Nothing left but end zone!
Running the ball up the sidelines. It was so cute and fun to watch his little team. Nate had a great year! Good job little buddy!
