Tavaci at the Playmill!

Haley's Tavaci group had the opportunity to sing a few songs as part of the pre-show for the Playmill. We took the family over to West Yellowstone and ate at Gusher's before the show. It's our tradition to eat there when we go. We saw the play Footloose and enjoyed the evening.

On stage just before they started singing.

We had some time to walk around and visit the shops before the show. Just killing some time here and took a picture--what a cute bunch of kids!:)

Lights, camera, action!

Haley played the lead role in a short play her class put on. She did a great job and I was very proud of her. We may have a budding actress on our hands--who knew?

Spring Sports

We have spent our spring months watching the boys in their sports. I wanted to get a couple of pictures of them before it all came to an end.

This is right after Zach (#18) shot for a goal. It went right to the goalie--better aim next time!

Zach is ready to go! Zach loves soccer. I have a hard time keeping up with all the rules because its a game I'm not familiar with, but its a lot of fun to watch!

Brayden in the batters box. Ok, so I am a lot better at following baseball. He plays short stop and I think the ball has come to him 3 times all season. He has tagged runners trying to steal second out a few time so that keeps him on his toes.

Getting ready to hit--at least we can see his face in this one!

Prima Ballerina!

Kacie had her ballet recital last night. I didn't think I was ever going to get her hair slicked back like her teacher wanted. But, with A LOT of hairspray and gel we managed to make it work for at least as long as the recital lasted.

Each of the dancers got a flower at the end.

Ready to go before it started. She was smiling funny because she didn't want to mess up her big girl lipstick she had on.

I wish this one wasn't fuzzy, but I guess you have to spring for the really nice cameras to get good action shots.

Kacie on the left and her friend Jessica Lewis on the right--the little ones were the cutest!

So Long Training Wheels!

Its been a banner weekend for Nate. He is riding his bike with out the training wheels. He's been wanting to take them off for a long time and once he found out his friend took his off then he wasn't going to get left in the dust! It took only a short lesson from dad and he was off.

Go Nate!

Happy 70th Birthday Perry!

We celebrated Brett's dads birthday this last Saturday. We were able to get together with most of the family. We had a nice time at grandpa's house with all the family that was there. For those who weren't there--you were missed! Just a few pictures of the fun day!

hanging out in the swing--always a favorite of the kids!

What a fun day it was and how lucky we are to have such a great grandpa who is a terrific example in our lives!

How does your garden grow?

I sent my blog posts from 2008 into a place to get published. I was so happy with how easy and fairly inexpensive it was! Because it was so easy, I want to have a lot more things in my blog so that I will have a good history of our family. I think this will change the way I blog from now on. I will probably post a lot more things that are of no interest to any but me. (which might be what you are thinking anyway) So, bare with me as I post things for my family scrapbooks.

We are really excited to have started our garden! Nate and Kacie were so cute as they carefully placed each seed in the dirt--"is this right mom? Aren't I doing a great job?" Its nice to have some help since the older boys have since outgrown their desire to help with the garden.

We can't wait until we get to harvest our crops. I just hope Nate's watermelon will actually grow here. He was so excited to plant them--we'll keep our fingers crossed!

Tavaci: Spring Concert

Haley had her spring concert for her Tavaci group this past weekend. It is so fun to watch these performances! The group leaders do a fantastic job and they always put on a great show. She seems to really love the group and have a good time.

Mom and Haley after the performance.

Haley is on the bottom row, second from the left. This was before their "We are the champions" by Queen song--I think she's really getting into character here.

Another picture from the performance.

And Finally. . . .GRASS!
We layed sod this weekend. We have been waiting for grass for a long time. This is a picture of the kids, including many neighbor kids, enjoying the fresh lawn. It is so nice to look out the window and see green grass instead of brown dirt. We look forward to having nice green grass--just in time for summer!
