Haley turns 11!

Haley had her 11th birthday this last Sunday. She had a great day with some of her friends.
An itouch was on the top of her birthday list and now she can text with her friends--what have I done?
She had some friends over for pizza, a movie and just having fun. Throwin things (anything) from the catwalk is always a favorite of friends who come over.
Chocolate chip ice cream cake--yum!
Her cute group of friends.

Haley is such a blessing to this family! We love her sweet personality! Happy Birthday, Haley!

Christmas Morning

A couple of pictures of our Christmas morning this year.

The boys were excited about their basketball hoop

And the girls love their American Girl dolls. Grandpa Robinson made this super cute table and chairs for their dolls--they love it!

We had a wonderful Christmas and are so grateful for all the ways in which our family is blessed!

Root Christmas Party!

We had a terrific time with the whole Root gang this last weekend. We went sledding, watched a Christmas movie, ate good food, got a visit from Santa and put on fun skits. We all had a great time!
Zach coming down the hill at the St. Anthony sand dunes.

Haley at the bottom of the hill.
Kacie just looking cute with her sled.
All the girls (minus mom and Kacie) pause for a photo at teh top of the hill.
My kid with Santa. Nate was so cute and gave Santa a present he made for him and also his long list of wants.
The whole group! It was so fun to have everyone together and enjoy each other company and also for the cousins to spend some time together playing. Thanks everyone for making it a great day!!

Frosty the Snowman!

Nate got a snowman kit at a gift exchange and was so excited to get out and build a snowman. The very next day it snowed the perfect "snowman" snow and he and Brett got busy. this was the result! I'm glad I got a photo because after a bad wind storm that night there was almost nothing left of old Frosty.

Tree Trimming

We always have a great time setting up the Christmas tree every year. The kids love to help hang ornaments, especially the ones they've made themselves.
Who is this little Santa Claus?
Kacie has her ornaments ready for the tree.
I think this year we have the tallest tree we've ever had. We had to break out the ladder to get the top ornaments hung.
Putting the angel on top was a little tricky, but Brett and Zach were able to get the job done. Good job boys!

Its so nice to have the tree up in the house and to feel the special spirit it brings this time of year.

Go Haley!

Haley has been playing basketball on Saturdays with her city team. She's doing great and improves every week.
We keep telling her to just grab the ball from the other girls hands--so here she is trying.
Why does it look like all the girls are just standing around? oh, cause they are.
Just wait for the other girl go come back down and then shoot!
Yes, dear, it helps if your eyes are open when a pass is coming to you.

We're so proud of her and how hard she works at the game. Keep it up Haley!

Zeitgeist Half Marathon

Laura and I ran the Zeitgeist half marathon in Boise this weekend. This is our 3rd half marathon we finished together this year. Its nice to have someone to run with especially up the long, tiring hills. You're a great running buddy!
